Multiplication tables check

The check that Year 4 children in England take. Its format is set by the Standards and Testing Agency and published on gov.uk.

Four levels

• EasyTables 2, 5 and 10 · 15 seconds a question
  Feedback after every answer, with encouragement.
• MediumTables 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 · 10 seconds
  Feedback after every answer, held for a shorter time.
• HardAll tables 2 to 12 · 6 seconds
  Feedback shows the answer without encouragement.
• Test ConditionsJust like the real check · 6 seconds
  No feedback, no score until the end, no sounds. The same presentation on every screen size.

What a parent can change

The tables and the time per question at Easy, Medium and Hard. A level needs at least three tables, and the time can be set from 3 to 15 seconds. Test Conditions always uses every table from 2 to 12 at six seconds a question, and cannot be changed.
